A unique small vase from a series of thrown cylinder vases made from mix of stoneware clays, porcelains and stones.
H8cm x W6.5cm
Beautiful flower-like detail at base.
Frosted gloss glaze.
Includes Mizuyo's finger marks which beautifully showcase the glazing process.
Mizuyo uses a variety of techniques for her ceramic work including carving with chisels, which is a popular technique in Japan called Kezuri. She is interested in combining the cultures of English and Japanese to create contemporary ceramic objects.
